About Proper ProWear: Designed by Barber Georgia Herbert
Proper ProWear creates professional hair-resistant workwear for barbers, hairdressers, stylists and dog groomers.
Created by a barber who lived the problem
Proper ProWear was founded by Georgia Herbert, a barber and educator with more than a decade of experience behind the chair. After years of finishing work covered in short cut hairs, changing clothes before going anywhere and watching the same problem affect other professionals, Georgia decided the industry needed workwear designed around the person doing the cutting.
Clients had capes to protect them. Barbers were still relying on ordinary T-shirts, aprons and generic uniforms that were not created to stop loose hair reaching their skin and clothing.
Why Barber Armour was created
Barber Armour is a two-piece top and trouser set made from lightweight, hair-resistant 100% polyester. The design includes cuffed wrists and ankles, an adjustable Velcro collar, a full-length front zip and a loose unisex fit.
Every detail has a practical purpose: help reduce loose hair entering the garment, protect the clothing underneath and make it easier to change before travelling home.
Designed for real working days
Proper ProWear does not claim that any garment can eliminate every strand of hair. The aim is to create purpose-built protective workwear that reduces clinging, improves comfort and helps professionals maintain a clean appearance throughout the day.
The result is clothing designed for busy barbershops, salons, grooming studios, educators, mobile professionals and teams who want their workwear to perform as professionally as they do.
Protective. Practical. Professional.
Proper ProWear is built around three principles: protection from loose hair, practical details for long shifts and a professional appearance that reflects the standards of modern grooming.
