Proper ProWear was created to solve that everyday problem with professional hair-resistant workwear for barbers and grooming professionals.
Created by a barber who lived the problem
Founder Georgia Herbert spent more than a decade working behind the chair and teaching barbering. Like many professionals, she accepted itchy clothing, constant lint rolling and changing before leaving work as part of the job. Clients had capes to protect them, but the person holding the clippers had very little purpose-built protection.
Barber Armour began with a simple question: what would a barber uniform look like if it were designed around the person wearing it rather than adapted from ordinary workwear?
The problem with everyday clothing
Cotton T-shirts, knitted fabrics and open collars can trap short, freshly cut hairs. An apron protects only part of the body, leaving sleeves, shoulders, the neck and trousers exposed. Once sharp hairs become embedded in fabric, they can remain uncomfortable even after washing.
Proper ProWear takes a different approach. Its smooth 100% polyester fabric is designed to help loose hair brush or slide away more easily than many everyday materials.
